I'm Outta Here!

I won't be blogging for a while. I'll be jumping on the Amtrak to North Carolina in the morning to attend my family reunion. I cannot wait to see all of my family. It's been a while since i've been down there. We have so much fun together. It's great to look around and see different variations of the same face, the combination of my grandmother and father. I wish they were here.

I can picture my granddaddy sitting on the porch getting a kick out of the things we're doing. The smell of my grandmother's biscuits was the best smell ever. It's not going to be the same without them there, but at least we have wonderful memories to share.

Family is so important. I know people who don't have what I have. Even though I don't get to see all of my family as often as i'd like to I know they're always there for me. If I need something and they have it, it's mine.

I'm looking forward to the laughter and good times that are coming my way. My family is great. I feel complete when we're all together. The stories and jokes that are going to be told will be as plentiful as the love that will be shared.

I'm sure my grandparents will be looking down on us and smiling.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend folks!

Wow! I have so many thoughts sis, but I can't post them. I hope you take lots of pictures, and I hope grandma, and grandpa aren't upset with me for not being there. I know you are going to have stories to tell when you get back because our family is crazy. Of course I cried after reading your blog today. So thanks for getting my weekly cry out of the way :-) I love you so much. Never stop what you're doing, and continue to be a leader, and a wonderful writer. I hope you have a rockin time.

Family is important, and I'm glad that we have what we have. I wouldn't want it any other way. I love my family, and without family you have nothing. I believe that everyone had a "family" the world would be a better place.

Enjoy your family and Labor Day weekend as well. It's been raining without fail here, so I am mostly inside the crib.

And I feel you on the family sentiments. Although I don't know my fam like I used to...I still got love for 'em.

I was sick the entire time I was in North Carolina, but it didn't matter. I still had an amazing time. It was great to see my family. It felt like i'd just seen them all the day before. I also got to meet family members I didn't know.

It was my job to sit at the entrance and register family members and give them name tags. One of my cousins, who i've never met, came in and looked at me and said, "You look like Christine." Christine is my mother. A few people have said that I look a lot like my mother, but it was funny that someone who has never laid eyes on me before would say it.

I had a really nice time and wish I could have stayed longer. I made a vow to visit more often.
